THERAPY IS A UNIQUE SPACE and time during which we have an opportunity to learn more about ourselves in relationship with the world and with other human beings. It is a chance to be curious and explore some of the most meaningful thoughts and emotions we have about ourselves and about our lives. It is also a chance to focus on being rather than doing, which directly supports our self-learning. It does take courage and self-compassion to explore and claim our own story, and we can heal by figuring out the real story. The more accurate our understanding of ourselves and our story, the more resilient we become.
